Cornerback Stephon Gilmore had two interceptions, including a pick-6, to lift the New England Patriots over the Cincinnati Bengals 34-13 on Sunday afternoon at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

The win comes amidst an NFL investigation into the Patriots taping the Bengals sideline during Cincinnati’s game against the Browns last weekend.

Earlier in the day, a video was released showing the tape of the Bengals sideline.

On the field, the win improves the Patriots to 11-3 on the season and secures a playoff berth for the 11th straight year.

The Bengals fall to 1-13 on the season.

Gilmore Interceptions Lift Patriots

The Patriots led 13-10 to start the third quarter with the Bengals opening up with the ball.

Cincinnati had third and six from their own 29-yard-line when quarterback Andy Dalton threw a pass intended for receiver Tyler Boyd, but it was picked off by Gilmore.

Seven plays later, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady fired a pass to rookie N’Keal Harry in the back of the end zone to give the Patriots a 20-10 lead after a Nick Folk extra point.

On the Bengals' next possession, Dalton threw another pass intended for Boyd along the Patriots sideline when Gilmore jumped the route and picked it off.

Gilmore returned it 64 yards for a touchdown to give the Patriots a 27-10 lead following a Folk extra point.

The pick-6 was the second of Gilmore’s career and his sixth interception of the season.

Along with the interceptions, Gilmore had five pass breakups, giving him 19 on the season.

After the Bengals got a field goal to make the score 27-13, the Patriots offense added to their lead.

With 5:31 left to play in the game, Brady handed the ball to former Bengal Rex Burkhead who rushed into the end zone from 33 yards out to give the Patriots a 34-13 lead.

Brady finished the game completing 15 of 28 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns.

He is one touchdown pass shy of Peyton Manning's all-time record.

New England had a total of four interceptions in the game as JC Jackson would add two late in the second half.

Shaky First Half for Patriots

The Patriots got off to a good start.

On their opening possession, the offense went on an eight-play, 75-yard drive finishing with a 23-yard touchdown pass from Brady to James White to put the Patriots up 7-0 after a Folk extra point.

However, the lead would not last.

The Bengals would take the lead on an eight-yard touchdown pass from Dalton to Cethan Carter to tie the game at seven with 6:13 left to play in the first quarter.

Cincinnati would take the lead in the final seconds of the quarter on a 34-yard field goal by Randy Bullock to make the score 10-7.

The Bengals had over 100 yards rushing in the first half as the New England defense didn’t appear to have an answer for Joe Mixon.

In the second quarter, the Patriots would get two field goals from Folk to retake the lead.

The first field goal came from 40 yards out and tied the game at 10.

The second field goal came in the closing seconds of the half after the Patriots offense lost five yards on four plays.

Folk nailed a season-long 46-yard field goal to give the Patriots a 13-10 lead going into the locker room.
